A Love-Filled Winter Wedding at Moulin

By Kimberly Wallner

Today’s feature wedding was a true family affair! Easlyn & Spencer are part of our event crew (and Easlyn also happens to be Lisa’s step-daughter) so their wedding was extra special for our team to design. Easlyn spent the year leading up to her wedding working as our Inventory Manager at the shop, so we all had A LOT of time to plan out the details of her winter wedding. I’m sure she was sick of all our opinions, questions and general nosiness (looking at you, Becky ;) by the end of it all!

When it came time to select a venue, Easlyn & Spencer chose Moulin Events for it’s rustic charm and flexibility. Since they didn’t want a traditional sit-down dinner, Moulin provided the perfect setting to move the party through multiple spaces. Since the ceremony and reception were taking place in three separate areas of the venue, it gave us the chance to create three uniquely designed spaces.

The evening began with a beautiful ceremony in the Chouteau Room, which we decorated in soft blush tones, rustic lanterns and a mix of chair styles. Sandra went all out designing the ceremony arch, which was covered in literally hundreds of roses. The lush archway was the perfect backdrop for Easlyn & Spencer to say their heartfelt vows.

Following the ceremony guests moved downstairs for dinner stations (we are still talking about the lobster mac and cheese), cocktails and games. In this space we focused on deeper burgundy tones, romantic candlelight and lots of beautiful floral accents.

After dinner guests were invited back upstairs to the Jefferson Ballroom for dancing and dessert. Lisa designed this room with a mix of lounge seating, farm tables paired with elegant chairs and beautiful linens, pulling in more navy tones while also incorporating burgundy and blush accents. Floral hoops hung over both the dessert table and the beautiful sweetheart table, adding an unexpected element to the space. The room was the perfect mix of elegant and rustic elements, and seeing Easlyn & Spencer’s reaction was so much fun since we had all been a part of the planning from the beginning… there may have been tears involved…more than once!
