A Vibrant Summer Wedding at The Chase Park Plaza

As a wedding vendor one of the biggest complements we can receive is getting to work with a family on multiple occasions. We have amazing clients, and always love the opportunity to work with the sibling of a former bride or groom! In this case, bride Ashley is the younger sister of one of our past grooms, Andy. He and his beautiful wife Jessica were married in 2015 and we loved working with them, so of course we were thrilled when Ashley came to us last year to design her own day!

Ashley and Matt chose to hold their wedding reception in the Khorassan Ballroom at the Chase Park Plaza, which just so happens to be the same spot where Andy & Jess tied the knot! Aside from the space, however, the two weddings were completely unique.

Ashley is the sweetest, bubbly person and she loves the color pink. She came to us with a very specific vision for her wedding flowers, and we spent a lot of time with her curating the right mix of color tones and flowers to capture her vision. The final floral designs perfectly captured her fun personality!

The day began with a traditional Jewish ceremony at Shaare Emeth temple, where we designed a chuppah adorned in flowers as well as two large pieces to flank the beginning of the aisle. Ashley wanted the ceremony to have a softer feel than the reception, so we used lighter shades of pinks and purples for these floral arrangements, which were later used to accent the sweetheart table.

Meanwhile over at the Chase Park Plaza our team was setting up the reception, which featured a fun, vibrant palette of pink, fuchsia and purple. Two tall centerpiece designs filled the Khorassan Ballroom, with lush low pieces adding depth to the room. We joke that we have guys on our setup crew to do the heavy lifting, but the reality is we couldn’t do these setups without them! It took three people to place each of the tall arrangements, which weighed roughly a ton each (shout out to Sandra’s husband and step-son for coming to our rescue on this one!) The bold flowers were balanced by neutral linens and gold tones throughout the space; the final product was stunning and perfect for Ashley & Matt to celebrate with their family and friends!

We had so much fun creating this beautiful day for such a wonderful couple – thank you to Ashley & Matt for letting us be a part of your wedding day!
