A Great Gatsby-Inspired Wedding

When Kim asked me to do her wedding flowers, I felt quite honored. I had worked with her when we both sat on the board for Wish Upon a Wedding. She wasn’t around for very long, because she and her boyfriend ended up moving to San Francisco. When they got engaged, they decided they really wanted to get married here in St Louis. The planning started and her Great Gatsby inspired wedding was planned. How trendy…Great Gatsby even before it became popular. I added pearls to Kim’s bouquet to enhance the Gatsby feel without her knowing… She loved it!!!!

Kim and John ended up getting married at Trinity Lutheran in Soulard, which is where I got married.  I couldn’t say enough good things about Pastor Marth and the staff, so they checked it out and there you go. Their ceremony location was Soulard Preservation Hall, a quick walk from the church, so guests walked between venues. What a beautiful day for a beautiful couple!

A Fresh, Spring Wedding

Blair and her mom came to see me with their wedding designer, Lacy Branch of Lacy Branch Events. Lacy and I had already had a meeting prior to them coming in and we were super excited about what we were going to show them. Lacy had these beautiful Navy Sequin Linens made that we paired with shades of pink flowers and grey containers. Blair and her mom, Lynda, were so excited when we showed them what we had in mind for the reception. They just loved everything when they saw it at the studio.  Little did that prepare them for what it was going to look like in the Grand Hall of the Peabody Opera House!

I am so happy that I was able to be a part of their day.  It was a gorgeous day filled with happiness and love… What more do you need for a wedding?
