A Classic Spring Wedding: Blush and Navy
Kristen and Derek’s wedding this past May was classically spring, from the blush and navy pallet to the rain the morning of the wedding. But a little rain never stopped an amazing wedding, as you can tell from these GORGEOUS photos from the ever-talented team at Switzerfilm. Every inch of this wedding was perfection; sequin bridesmaids dresses, dapper guys in navy suits, the most adorable bride, and amazing spring flowers, all set to the backdrop of the Old Cathedral and Crystal Ballroom.
The Crystal Ballroom is one of our favorite venues and we work in it often, so we are always looking for new ideas to make each of our weddings unique. For Kristen and Derek’s, we collaborated with Tiffany and Amanda at Events Luxe to design and have custom Lucite stands built for the tall centerpieces. These leant an airy quality to the room that was both modern and classic. The reception flowers mimicked the bouquets with hydrangea and roses, but with the addition of beautiful draping white Orchids for an added wow factor.
Kristen loves sparkle, so Tiffany and Amanda set out to create tablescapes with a mixed-metallic theme using touches of rose gold, silver and lots of sparkly draping crystals. Table 10 provided the amazing silver chargers, and we love the napkin treatment; a Kate Spade inspired bow detail, which can be found throughout the day.
